PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project “Empowering New Energy Leaders in the Transition to Green Energy” (ENERGET) aims to address the key energy challenges of the Western Balkan countries through the development of innovative educational solutions that support the transition to a green economy. The focus is on creating an interdisciplinary master’s-level curriculum for energy communities, which will integrate topics related to renewable energy sources, circular economy, policies, and governance of energy systems.
The project foresees testing and further development of the program, preparation of modern teaching materials, and active involvement of local experts to ensure practical applicability. Additionally, through summer schools, mobility activities, and international exchange of knowledge, the capacity of students and universities in the region to tackle real-life challenges of the energy transition will be enhanced. In this way, ENERGET will contribute to strengthening local communities, reducing energy dependency, developing new green opportunities, and positioning UKIM as a regional leader in sustainability and green energy.
